Oral Tradition
In consideration of the issue of Oral Tradition as has been previously raised, the Body of Guildmasters of the Lochac Royal Guild of Defence have determined that they will acknowledge such Oral Traditions as they concern various weapon forms pertaining to the playing of Prizes within the Guild. Such evidence provided in the form, or the basis, of Oral Tradition will be expected to at least satisfy the Society Guidelines for the Recognition and Approval of Oral Tradition in the Arts and Sciences statement regarding such, the link for which can be found below, and may have to satisfy other conditions as requested by the Lord Guildmaster at the time of the presentation of such evidence to ensure its veracity.
It is recommended that in such cultures where there are written records of the same weapon form, or written records readily available, that sources for weapon forms be sought in written form before providing evidence through oral traditions. As per the Ordinances such weapon form must always qualify under the Ordinance Concerning Allowed Weapon Forms for the Prize.
